Custom Order ID - Magento 2

The Customer Order ID Extension for Magento 2^®, by CueForGood, enables the admin user to customize default sale entities in a meaningful format. Once installed, the user can modify the following for all or each store view:

• Order ID
• Invoice ID
• Credit Memo ID
• Shipment ID

• Community: 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2
• Enterprise: 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2

A functionality to allow you to customize all or preferred sale entities. As a Magento 2 feature, these identifier fields for all orders, follow a default Magento format. The Magento extension allows you to customize the format of all the above-mentioned fields in a way that is understandable and more recognizable to you. For example, the default Magento 2 Order ID is numeric, however, with this extension you can prefix date, year, month and day, time of the day, order value and the likes. There's a reference table as well given for you to form your ID.

Similarly, Invoice ID, Credit Memo ID and Shipment ID can all be modified according to your format preferences. You can set your own custom prefixes (alpha, numeric or alphanumeric), starting number and the increment rate in all the 4 sale identifiers but also add Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minutes & Seconds (2 digit each) to all the fields.

The Custom Order ID extension gives you the freedom to custom format all fields or only the ones you want to along with the following benefits:

• Helps your created customizable and recognizable ID formats
• Allows you to keep a unique or same format for all entities
• Format allows including time upto the last second when the order was made

Please note: The overwritten default IDs will not be lost and can be viewed under the Event Log appearing under the Custom Order ID menu at the backend.
